Tick for $350m Murray Bridge solar project

A $350 million solar project at Murray Bridge has been given development approval, the latest in a string of major renewable energy investments in South Australia to get a green light.

The Advertiser is reporting The solar farm, proposed by RES (Renewable Energy Systems) would create 200 direct and 320 indirect jobs during construction and 4 ongoing positions for the 25 to 30-year life of the farm. Armed with the approval, RES will seek financing and construction contracts.

“We’re intending to close financing in the first half of next year,” project manager Chris Gosling said.
