Jemena awards $20m pipeline contract

A $20 million contract has been awarded for the construction of a 60km gas pipeline, to be built by the end of the year.

Queensland Country Life is reporting Energy company Jemena has appointed Spiecapag Australia to the pipeline, which forms part of Jemena’s $140 million Atlas Gas Pipeline Project, in south-west Queensland.

The pipeline will run from Senex Energy’s Atlas acreage, south-west of Wandoan, to Jemena’s Darling Downs pipeline, near Yuleba.

Jemena’s Atlas Gas Pipeline Project Director, Mark Turner, said Spiecapag was selected following a competitive tender process in quarter one of 2019.
